Your right to erasure, and how to close your Nestmatch account.

Your right to erasure

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live this may be a legal right, and we honour the request either way.

How to request it

Delete your account in Nestmatch under Settings → Delete account, or write to [email protected] from the address on the account. Our Data Deletion page describes exactly what is removed and what happens to a nest you share.

Identity verification

If you write to us rather than using the app, we need to be reasonably sure the request comes from the account holder. Usually the request arriving from the account's own email address is enough. If it does not, we may ask one further question, and we will not ask for more information than the check needs.

What is deleted

Your account record and email address, your first name, your style profile and quiz swipes, your votes, your push tokens and usage records, and, if nobody else is in your nest, the nest with all its rooms, photos, looks and pieces. Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it.

What is retained

A nest you share stays with your partner, including its rooms, photos, looks and plan. Beyond that, only what the law requires us to keep, and only for as long as that obligation lasts. Purchase records held by the Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by their policies and are not ours to delete.

Timeline

In-app deletion is immediate. An emailed request is acknowledged within a few business days and completed within the period the applicable law sets, and in any case within a reasonable time.

Your other rights

Deletion is one of several rights you may have. You may also be able to access what we hold, correct it, export it in a portable format, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent to AI processing of room photos, or complain to your local data protection authority.
