Nestmatch Data Deletion

How to delete

Open Nestmatch and go to Settings → Delete account. That is the fastest route and it needs nothing from us.

If you cannot reach the app, write to [email protected] from the address on the account, saying whether you want everything deleted or only part of it. If your account was never saved with an email address, the in-app option is the only way we can tell the request comes from you.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your account record and email address, your first name, your quiz swipes and style profile, your votes on looks and pieces, your device push tokens, your usage events, your AI usage records and invite-code attempts.

If you are the only member of your nest, the nest is deleted too, with every room, room photo, look, piece and piece photo in it; the files are removed from storage first.

If you share your nest, it stays with your partner: the rooms, photos, looks and plan are theirs from then on, the reveal written for the two of you is deleted, and your partner is told you left. Once deletion is done we cannot recover any of it.

Deleting part of your data

You can delete parts of your data without closing your account. Deleting a room removes its photos, looks and pieces for both of you. You can take a piece out of the plan, or leave the nest, which deletes your votes in it and your shared reveal while your style profile comes with you. Closing your account removes everything listed above.

If you only want to stop paying, cancelling a subscription is enough on its own and does not delete anything.

What may be retained

We may keep a limited amount of information after deletion where the law requires it. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription records also sit with them and with our subscription provider under their own retention rules; deleting your Nestmatch account does not reach those. A shared nest stays with your partner, as described above, including the pieces you added to it.

Anything we keep is kept only for that purpose and for no longer than necessary.

Timing

In-app deletion happens immediately. An emailed request is acknowledged within a few business days and completed within the timeframe the law where you live requires, and in any case within a reasonable time. We will tell you when it is done.
