Ourpot Acceptable Use Policy

General rule

Use Ourpot lawfully and as it is meant to be used: to keep track of money you share. Do not use it to break the law, to harm anyone, or to interfere with the service working for other people.

Impersonation

Do not pretend to be someone else in a pot, misrepresent your connection to a person or organisation, or use Ourpot to mislead anyone about who they are dealing with.

Abuse and fraud

Do not attempt to obtain Ourpot Plus you have not paid for, exploit a billing or trial mechanism, create accounts to evade a limit or a suspension, or use Ourpot in connection with fraud, including recording expenses or debts that did not happen in order to deceive other members.

Reverse engineering

Do not copy, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer Ourpot, or attempt to extract its source code, models, or prompts, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits and you have told us first.

Automated misuse

Do not access Ourpot through automated means, scrape it, guess invite codes to enter pots you were not invited to, or send volumes of requests that a person could not generate. Do not probe, scan, or test its security without our written permission, and do not attempt to bypass a rate limit or an access control.

Illegal and harmful content

Do not put content in a pot, including notes, request titles, comments and profile pictures, that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, that sexualises children, that harasses or threatens a person, or that promotes violence or self-harm. We remove it and we report what the law requires us to report.

Sharing and reselling

Your account is for you. Ourpot Plus is meant to be shared, but only with the real members of a pot you use together: do not share account credentials, do not add people to a pot only to pass Plus on to them, and do not resell or redistribute access to Ourpot.

Reporting

If you see Ourpot being misused, or content that breaches this policy, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to find it. We look at every report. You can also leave a pot at any time, and a pot's owner can remove a member.

We may remove content, suspend an account, or end access where this policy is breached. Where we can, we tell you what happened and why.
